Medicine the Way It Was Meant to Be
Heritage Health is a new clinic organized around a simple belief: The only two people who should be making decisions about your health care are you and your doctor. Insurance companies and bureaucrats have no business in the exam room. Our mission is to simply restore a health care model where medical decisions are driven by patients and physicians -not by disinterested third parties.
Our clinic is owned and operated by Scott Roush, DO, and Promise Lambe, LPN — a board-certified physician and licensed practical nurse with over 22 years of experience working together and delivering care in this region. Both are native to south central Missouri. Dr. Roush's family roots in this area reach back to the 1850s. In fact, his great-great-grandmother was a faith-healing granny woman in the 1890s who delivered babies, cared for neighbors, and prepared medicines from knowledge tracing back to the native peoples of this region. That sort of heritage is not just a footnote. It is the foundation of how we think about patients, care and healing.
We are located in a federally designated health care desert. The need here is real, and we intend to meet it — on your terms, in your home, and on your schedule.
How We Deliver Care
Care That Comes to You
We offer three primary modes of care, designed around the realities of rural life in south central Missouri.
Home Visits
Our primary model. A physician comes to your home — the way medicine was practiced for generations. No waiting rooms, no rushed appointments. Care delivered where you are most comfortable.
Telehealth
Acute needs addressed promptly via secure video visit. We use the latest technology to connect with patients across our service area without requiring travel.
Clinic Visits
For situations that require an in-person clinical setting, we maintain a base location available for scheduled visits.
Service Area
Serving South Central Missouri
Heritage Health primarily serves Howell and Oregon counties, with reach into surrounding county areas. We are here for the communities that have long been underserved — rural families, elderly patients, and anyone who needs quality, physician-level care without the barriers of distance or bureaucracy.

Insurance & Payment
Freedom to Practice Medicine
We accept traditional Medicare only so a significant portion of our practice operates on a cash basis — a deliberate choice. Cash-pay medicine frees us from insurance company regulations that are often unrelated to patient health, and allows us to focus entirely on what is best for you.

We use AI and state-of-the-art medical technology to keep patient data secure, stay connected across distances, and remain current with the rapidly evolving standard of care.
